What’s with apples and oranges?

Tuesday, January 15, 2008

Can you compare oranges and apples? Of course you can. And surely in the end you see a lot of disparities. You will point out that oranges are oranges and apples are apples. It is easy as that. But it is interesting on how widely the phrase is being used.. just generally it has become such a common expression. Next time I am going to ask.. can you compare rambutan and pulasan? Or maybe can you compare a pancake and roti canai? A bit more up to date I guess? Plus we don’t grow oranges and apples here..
